The AI voice assistant for Mac that does the work

Dictation apps type your words. Parvis does the work.

Press one key and say what you want. Parvis hands it to Claude Code on your Mac, tells you the result out loud, and points a green arrow at the thing you asked about. It is the Jarvis-like assistant people keep searching for, running on Claude Code.

$20 a month when the beta opens. No card now. We write when your seat is ready.

You speak. It does the work and tells you.

Three things people ask it, and how it answers.

  • You say

“Where is the settings button on this page?”

    Parvis answers

“Top right, the gear. The arrow is on it.”

  • You say

“Which of my sessions are still working?”

    Parvis answers

“Two run, one waits for your answer. Recommend the review first.”

  • You say

“Rename the files in Downloads by date.”

    Parvis answers

“Forty files renamed, nothing deleted. Recommend a look at the list.”

A Wispr Flow alternative? Not quite. Dictation types. Parvis acts.

Voice dictation tools such as Wispr Flow and Superwhisper turn speech into text in whatever box your cursor is in, and they do it well. You still do the work. Parvis starts where they stop: your sentence becomes a finished task.

What you get

What it does today, on the Mac it was built on.

  • Talk to Claude Code with your voice

Press one key, speak, press it again. Your speech becomes text on your Mac itself, so no recording of your voice is uploaded anywhere.

  • It does the task, not the typing

Claude Code reads files, runs commands, edits documents and looks things up. Parvis gives it your words and brings back the result.

  • Answers out loud, in two sentences

First what it found, then what it recommends. The voice is made on your Mac. Ask for more and you get more.

  • Shows you where to click

Ask where something is and a green arrow lands on it in under three seconds, as measured today. It stays ten seconds, or until you close it.

  • Runs your other sessions for you

Start a long task in the background, hear which sessions are busy, have one read back, bring one to the front. One voice for all of them.

  • Keeps you on what matters

Parvis holds your goals in a plain file it reads at every start. Ask for something off course and it says so in one sentence, then does what you decide.

How setup works in the beta

The goal of the beta: from download to your first spoken task in minutes.

  1. 1

    Install one app

Parvis sets up the voice, the hotkey and the menu bar icon. You install Claude Code and sign in to it yourself.

  2. 2

    Allow four things, once

Microphone, accessibility, screen recording and automation. macOS asks; you click allow; that is the whole setup.

  3. 3

    Press the key and speak

A soft wooden tap says it is listening, a double tap says it heard you. Then it works, and the menu bar shows what it is doing.

The rules Parvis works by

An assistant that can act on your computer needs rules you can count on. These are the ones it runs under.

  • It asks before anything you cannot take back

Deleting, sending, publishing, spending money and changing settings all wait for your yes. A misheard word never costs you anything.

  • It does what you asked, then stops

No surprise extra steps. It finishes the task and asks what is next.

  • It never leaves you in silence

Every key press gets a sound. If something breaks, it says so out loud instead of going quiet.

  • It tells you what it did not check

A failed step is reported as failed. A guess is called a guess.

  • You can watch every move

One click opens the live terminal, where every command it runs is on screen as it happens.

What you need

Three things, and nothing else to buy from us.

  • A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later). The voice models run on the chip.
  • Your own Claude plan with Claude Code. You sign in to Claude Code yourself and pay Anthropic directly; Parvis never sees that login and does not resell Claude.
  • An internet connection, because Claude runs in the cloud.

Questions and concerns

The things a careful person asks before letting an AI voice assistant act on their Mac.

Is Parvis a Jarvis for Mac?

Parvis is its own product, made by Time Hackers Lab. "Jarvis-like" is how people describe the idea: you speak, the computer acts and answers. Parvis has no connection to Marvel or Disney and uses nothing of theirs.

Is the product ready today?

It works every day on its maker's Mac, and this page describes what it does there. What is not finished is the installer that puts it on your Mac in one step. That is what the beta is for, and why this is a waitlist and not a buy button.

Does my voice leave my Mac?

No recording does. Speech is turned into text on your Mac, and the spoken answers are made on your Mac. The text of what you said goes to Claude, exactly as if you had typed it into Claude Code.

Does it watch my screen?

It takes one screenshot at the moment you finish speaking, keeps the latest twenty on your Mac and deletes older ones. A screenshot is looked at only when your words are about your screen. In the beta, finding the thing to point at sends that one screenshot to a cloud vision model. A finder that runs on the Mac alone is being tested.

Can it do something I did not want?

It runs with broad permissions, so the rules matter: it asks before it deletes, sends, publishes, spends or changes settings, and it stops after the task you gave it. You can watch every command in the live terminal and interrupt it there.

What does it cost in total?

$20 a month for Parvis, plus your own Claude plan, which you pay to Anthropic.

How is this different from the voice dictation already in Claude Code?

Dictation puts your words into the prompt box, and you take it from there by reading and typing. Parvis is hands-free from start to finish: it listens, runs the work, speaks the answer, points at your screen and manages your other sessions.

Do I need to be a developer?

For the first beta seats it helps to be comfortable installing Claude Code. The point of the beta is to bring setup down to one install and four clicks, so that anyone who can talk can use it.

What can it not do yet?

It runs on Apple silicon Macs only: no Windows, no Intel Mac, no phone. It speaks English. It needs an internet connection. The arrow finds things best when you name them by the words on them. And it is one person's daily tool being turned into a product, so expect rough edges.

Is Parvis made or endorsed by Anthropic?

No. Claude and Claude Code are Anthropic's products. Parvis is an independent app that runs the unmodified Claude Code you installed, under your own sign-in.

When does the beta open, and what happens to my email?

There is no date yet. Seats open in small groups, in the order people joined. Your email is used for one thing: writing to you about Parvis. It is never sold or shared, and every message has a way to leave the list.
